Hunter, originally uploaded by foolscircle.
My friend, Jill Heyser, is an accomplished aerial performer. She also plays Hunter in the Actors Gymnasium stage adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “Neverwhere”. When she first appears as Hunter in the play, she performs a show-stopping piece during which she dangles about ten feet above the audience from two large silk sheets. It was one of the most impressive things I’ve seen, and I’ve worked for Cirque du Soleil, so think about that for a minute.
I’m pretty sure I shot somewhere between 50-100 photos of this sequence alone (by the time the play was done, I had close to 1200 shots altogether), and a number of them have made it into the Neverwhere photo set over at my Flickr account, so head over that way if you want to see more.
